In Ephesians 6:5-9, Paul explains that slaves need to obey their masters and masters should not threaten their slaves. There are 5 points of how every Christian should treat authorities that are over them. This passage is bigger than just slaves and masters.

Ephesians 6:1-4 is where Paul tells Children to obey their parents and to honor them. This is a repeat of the fifth commandment in Exodus 20. On the other side of the coin, parents need to not provoke their children and need to raise them in the discipline and instruction of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:21-33 speaks of wives submitting to husbands, no matter what…Right? Absolutely not! True Christians will submit to each other out of reverence for Christ and will never demand or lord over other Christians. That is silly.
